Volunteer for the Board of Directors of the Society
The Calgary Youth Justice Society operates with a Board of Directors. Every year at our Annual General Meeting we welcome new members to help direct this exciting initiative.
Volunteer for a Youth Justice Committee in your area
Volunteers work with their neighbours to provide a meaningful alternative to the formal justice process for some young people who have committed a less serious crime. A panel of 3 volunteers meet with the young person, their parents and sometimes the victim, to determine an appropriate response to hold the young person accountable for their actions. This is a very rewarding opportunity to see the direct results of your work and know that you.ve made a difference in a young person.s life.
