Below please find the schedule for CYJS meetings, training, conferences and special events for 2010. New Volunteer Training Courses

New Volunteer Training consists of three parts. All are held at the Calgary Youth Attendance Centre, 3850 Manchester Rd, SE from 7 PM to 9:30 PM. To register contact: Tammy McCorkell, 403.261.9861, Ext 222; tmccorkell@calgaryyouthjustice.com

Note: Other workshops/courses may be offered during the course of the year. Details will be forwarded via email.

Refresher Training Course

The next round of Refresher Training is being scheduled for early in 2010 and will be held at the Calgary Youth Attendance Centre, 3850 Manchester Rd, SE from 7 to 9:30 PM. 
 
Ron Toner and Tammy McCorkell will review case management and introduce techniques for motivational interviewing with time set aside for questions and/or concerns. Refresher training is open to anyone interested in finding out what has changed since their New Volunteer Training or just keen on honing their skills. No minimum period of service is required - all volunteers are welcome to participate. Group size will be limited to 15 participants.

Chairs Meetings/Community Resource Meetings

The Spring 2010 Chair's Meeting/Community Resource Meeting will again be held at the Calgary Youth Attendace Centre from 6 to approx. 8:30 PM. A light dinner will be provided for the Chair's portion and refreshments for the Community Resources portion. Please see the December, 2009 Newsletter for additional information.
